Tahoe Memorial Columbarium
Tahoe Memorial Columbarium is a beautifully designed indoor facility that provides a peaceful,
serene setting as a final resting place for cremated remains.
Many people who love the High Sierra
have chosen this location for themselves and their family members.
Though located inside St. Patrick's Episcopal Church building, the Columbarium has its own entrance and parking area.
Loved ones can visit the Columbarium anytime and meditate in a peaceful, visually appealing
setting. There are lovely mosaics, marble, and a beautiful stained glass
window. This is the only place on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe where
cremated remains may be placed. It is consecrated ground, being inside a
church, and it is also a non-denominational place and open to the entire
community.
What is a Columbarium?
From the Latin word "devecote," a columbarium is an arrangement of niches or wall-recessed compartments exclusively
for the placement of cremated human remains. Each niche has a fronts of mosaic stained glass and beige marble.
